Lyman Blue, age 53 of Minneapolis, died unexpectedly on August 25, 2026. A gentle and sweet soul, Lyman was a loving brother, son, uncle, and friend. He was also a talented artist and crafter who loved creatively expressing himself with his hands. He loved riding his bike all over the city and treasured time with his family, especially at the holidays and barbecues. He wished he could have been a father and he loved caring for the kids in his life. He also loved to drive and was a classic car enthusiast. He was a young rebel with his kid brother Raymond, watching Dukes of Hazzard and tooling around town. Lyman’s personality was affected for a long time by a traumatic brain injury, and he is now free from suffering.

He joins his relatives who passed away before him, including his parents, Patrick and Lorraine (Burquist) Blue; brother, Raymond Blue; sister, Anicia Blue; and grandparents.

He is survived by his siblings, Patrick Blue Jr., Charles Blue, Patricia Vazquez, Joan Osby, Albert Blue, and Jenny Blue; ten nephews, twelve nieces, and other loving relatives and friends.

Interment Monday, September 14 at Resurrection Cemetery, 2101 Lexington Ave. S., Mendota Heights.
